We’ve given up our Tapong apartment, and are on the move again. Bangkok ho!
We decided (partly because of the amount of baggage we have, but also because we’re kind of lazy) to take a private taxi from Tapong to our guesthouse in the Dusit neighborhood of Bangkok. 2000 Baht (about $76 CAD) for a three and a half hour trip, the end through some of the gnarliest urban automobile dystopia ever.
Our guesthouse – Shanti Lodge – is hippy, though, and in a quiet nook about fifteen minute’s walk from Khao San Road. Everything one thinks of when the word “guesthouse” comes to mind, sans the Bob Marley.
