To take a year off takes planning.
In this time, smack in the middle of the holiday season, “making a list, checking it twice” sounds a bit cliché. And yet, it’s exactly what I’m going to do (to channel Rob Ford, a bit).
Some things to look into in the months ahead (in no particular order):
- extended health insurance (and how to make sure we don’t lose our Alberta health care while gone)
- what camera gear to bring (yes, this is an issue with me, with a Canon 5D body, lots of glass, and tonnes of accessories)
- baggage (suitcases, duffles, or backbacks)
