This photo could easily stand in for any little village or town in SE Asia. The chickens here are wonderfully colourful and full of character. There’s a literal reality behind the expression cock of the walk that one doesn’t fully appreciate back home. [There’s also a restaurant in Missouri by that name.)
In comparison, our cocks are positively boring. These are handsome fellows. I don’t feel bad about eating them.
