This was the first slide show I ever put together. Thailand and Laos, 2001.
The most amazing thing to me about the people I met in Thailand and Laos was how genuinely friendly people were. Here I was, a white Farang, flashing my big assed camera (I have an even bigger asser camera now) all over the place, and the folks I met… smiled. Happy, unpretentious, joyous smiles.
It taught me a lot about the world, this being my first trip abroad.
I think that these photos show that innocence as I saw it.
