Where's Teddy Now?

January

The first 31 from the 365 project I began on January 1.

January 365

I’ve never done a project like this. Truth is, I’m not very good at the follow through thing. I’m a “starter”, not an “ender”.

So far this month, I’ve taken 934 photos on the main rig (the 20D). I’m not counting shots on the little PowerShot, nor those from Ti’s XTi. Out of 934, I’ve kept 187 (and even then, there are far too many duplicated shots, different angles, and exposures and such). That’s a save rate of about 20%.

I’m not sure that means anything at all.

And so what can I say about what I’ve done? Well, I did it, for starters. A bit easier than I thought it might be. But then again, photography is sort of on the brain, since I teach several classes of digital photography this term.

I look at what I’ve photographed, and it screams “Teddy” to me; strong patterns, colours, contrasts, patterns. Some themes? Sunlight, snow, silhouette. Surprises? Few family pictures.

I think Elliotte is just too easy a subject, so not fair game. But go visit Ti’s 365 of Elliotte, to which I occasionally contribute, to see what comes of that!
