Day 279 – Art

This – the bones that make up the exoskeleton of the largest modern art museum in Europe – is as much art as that which it contains. “Paris has its own monster, just like the one in Loch Ness.”, declared Le Figaro. “Love at second sight”, National Geographic.

Love at first, for me. It’s quite appropriate that a Nikki de Sainte-Phalle decorates the fountain out front; they probably didn’t like her either.

The pipes and services are colour coded – blue for climate, green for plumbing, yellow for electrical. Something for everyone, the artist and the geek.
