Bali is our base of operations in Indonesia. We always planned to venture out a bit and explore other parts of the country, and the Special Region of Yogyakarta (it’s the only province in Indonesia still ruled nominally by a Royal Family, a Sultan) was prime on my list.
Foremost because it gives access to two UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Borobudur and Prambanan.
So out we went for a three night, four day tour of Jogja. In this installment, we explore the other sites around Jogja. There were many.
