Where's Teddy Now?

Borobudur (Day 12)

There are some wondrous places in the world, some I’ve seen, some I’ve yet to visit; Giza, Angkor Wat, Machu Pichu… you know the list. The Hindu temple of Borobudur must surely be among them.

Borobudur is the largest Buddhist Temple in the world. The grounds of Angkhor Wat are larger, but this building is huger. And older (9th century) , by three hundred years. I’ve been wanting to visit this place earlier, and more than the Pyramids in Egypt. It is the single most visited attraction in Indonesia.

And it was stunning.

We have so far travelled…

  • 15 833 km Air (595 km today, Java to Denpassar)
  • 368 km driving ( km today)
  • 85.2 km walking (16.9 km today)
